Publisher: Gradients in Table Body, iPad a real work around..

The desktop has Gradient fill in the table body, but iPad it is missing. There is a Gradient option, but it's all black white or transparent, and can't be coloured. 
To get a coloured Gradient you gave to use two text frame layers.

Second image Text Frame covering table body and colour applied, then moved under Gradient Table Body.

You apparently can't adjust the Gradient. What you see is what you get. Or is this another feature of ignoring the Apple Pencil.??

But otherwise, it works ok.
