magica237 Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Hello everyone, I am starting to be desperate. I am doing adjustments on photos and I get completely dull results in jpg - completely different to what I see on the screen when doing adjustments. I have two screens - callibrated with Spyder, For this purpose I have been working just on one screen. As I export the file to jpg, collors are not vibrant anymore. It is visible also in the export preview. I have tried different settings, including Softproof layer (no change visible to working file), i have tried to include ICC profiles... EVA05581.afphoto I have no idea how to continue with editing. How should I set up the documents to see edits same as on the screen after export? Thank you for your help in advance! Quote
markw Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Can you post any screenshots of what you are seeing? magica237 Posted October 15, 2023 Author Posted October 15, 2023 Still quite a difference in the leaf color of the small tree Quote
markw Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Can you post a side by side of the exported image next to the image as it appears in AP, the same as in my previous screenshot? magica237 Posted October 15, 2023 Author Posted October 15, 2023 Here it is. Now the color match, but trully I don't get it. I have set screen to duplicate ( to check the color on the second screen instantly). After setting the screen back to Extend, the same file shows the file colors correctly - matching with export) Is it possible that the color profile applies to one part of the screen and not to another? As I said, I don' t get it. Anyway it seems now, that after switching screens it shows same colors. (I have Huion - I want to edit on this screen as I have a pen to it, but it seems to be not very color reliable) Quote

Pay attention to the last line in my signature and realize that I most likely cannot help with this sort of problem. So I'll bow out now. Now the color match, To me they do not match in your APh / FastStone screenshot – and both don't match with your exported JPG in your next post. Can you upload your exported JPG as zipped file, because the forums software strips profile and resamples large uploaded files. thomaso Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 (Sorry I can't open your V2 .aphoto) – Your export appears fine and better (more vivid) than your comparison screenshot. I wonder if the differences in the shadows (top right) are just related to screenshot + profile stripping. In this area the exported file is more blueish while the Faststone screenshot looks a little pale / desaturated. FWIW, regardless of profiles and sharpness (different sizes) I think this screenshot might show that the exported image (left) appears with best quality: Quote • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.5. | Affinity V2.6
magica237 Posted October 16, 2023 Author Posted October 16, 2023 Thank you all for help. I myself don't see such a difference in picture and export preview (and exported picture) as I have shown in the beginning of this thread. I have no idea was cause it and how to simulate it again. At the moment I am happy that the export is vibrant. Thank you again, and I just hope it will stay as it is now (fingerscrossed) markw 1 Quote
