bordercross Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 I have the whole suite of apps running 2.2 on Sonoma. iCloud storage is turned on for all three, but only Publisher and Designer have app specific folders in iCloud. What is the trick to get Affinity Photo’s icloud folder to appear? Quote
Staff Lee D Posted October 16, 2023 Staff Posted October 16, 2023 @bordercross On the Save dialog, there should be an option for Affinity Photo 2 in the left hand column under iCloud. Select this and save and an app folder on iCloud should be automatically created. If you don't see an option under iCloud, check your iCloud Drive options within System Settings to confirm which apps can sync to iCloud. Quote
bordercross Posted October 16, 2023 Author Posted October 16, 2023 I have the iCloud option set, but no Affinity Photo folder appears. Quote

System Preferences > shows that all 3 V2 apps are set to sync with iCloud Drive, but there are no new folders automatically created if I save to iCloud drive. The files just get saved to the top level of iCloud, not to any of its folders. bordercross Posted October 17, 2023 Author Posted October 17, 2023 I uninstalled, downloaded and reinstalled the program, but it did not fix the problem. Still no Affinity Photo Folder created in iCloud. System Preferences for iCloud Drive are correct with Affinity Photo 2 set to sync to iCloud. Quote

FWIW, reinstalling an Affinity app rarely fixes anything, the exception being if one of its component files are damaged, but if that is the problem it usually causes the app to crash or hang. RNKLN Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 I'm also struggling with this. I had some other issues with the combination of Affinity and iCloud, and decided to switch off (and later on again) APu 2.0 iCloud in (Apple macOS) System Settings. It disappeared and never came back. Some other characteristics: while the Affinity Publisher 2 iCloud folder was still there it didn't show any documents when clicking the folder. Note that, unlike AD and APh, it had a '2' in the iCloud folder name. when I did a search (and still, when i do a search) on '.afpub'. it comes back with a list of APu documents I created in the past (see screenshot showing the path for one of these documents) I still have APu 1.X. I've tried switching on iCloud in System Settings for 1.X but it still doesn't show up when doing a File - Open (see screenshot of the iCloud section for a File - Open) (same for APu 1.X and APu 2.X) I've also added a screenshot of the current System Settings.
