I go to the print option and suddenly the print window does not appear. I have MAC SOMOMA 14.

Hi and welcome to the forums. Have you previously been able to print and this is a new problem that just started or are you brand new to Affinity?

Sometimes if you use a second screen and then work on just a single screen, such as when unplugging a laptop from an external monitor, Affinity can get confused and try to open a window such as Print on that external monitor. Can you tell us about your monitor setup?

Can you open Print from another application such as Safari, Mail, or Pages?

Another user was experiencing a similar issue this week and Serif provided the following reply so you might want to try the suggestion here:

Yes, I have tried to install and uninstall the printer but it still does not appear... I have also set it as generic as indicated in the other option and it does not appear either.

I have set my macbook air as a second screen but I don't see the dialog window....

I have reinstalled and it doesn't work either, I'm a little confused and overwhelmed I need it and I can't get it to work. :-(....

I think should try these options.

  1. Drag the application window as far off the screen as you can and then choose File > Print. Maybe the window is opening behind the app window. I doubt this will work but it's worth a try.
  2. Quit Publisher. Click the app icon in the dock or double-click the app icon in Applications then immediately press and hold Ctrl. When the Clear User Data Window appears, choose the 2nd and 3rd options (reset document and window states, and reset studio). Click Clear and Publisher will launch. Now try printing.

Good luck.

Neither option works.

I have reinstalled the Sonoma operating system and it doesn't work either.

Did you delete any print presets as Nathan suggested in the thread I linked to?

If you don't have any print presets or have deleted them but it made no difference, you could clear user defaults, too.

  1. Quit Publisher. Click the app icon in the dock or double-click the app icon in Applications then immediately press and hold Ctrl. When the Clear User Data Window appears click Clear and Publisher will launch. Now try printing.

Good luck. In the meantime, you can print by exporting to PDF and print the PDF with Apple Preview.

Yes I clean all presets ... but doesn´t works...

 But I find the solution!!!!!!

In the printer settings I went to print, there in the share option I put share with everyone.... and the dialog opens... I attach the images in case it helps someone

Thank you very much for all your interest!! In special to MIKE TO !!
