Anthitei Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Sometimes when I try to export to png through selection only some square image this happens. Selected image is size 512x512 but exporting image size is 513x553 so when I change size to be correct my image is getting compressed in Y axis and looks awful. I don't have additional things in my selected area so this is not the case, and selected area IS square. What can I do to fix it? Quote
Hangman Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Hi @Anthitei and welcome to the forums, Could you upload your Affinity file so we can take a look at what may be causing the sizing issue? The most likely reason you're seeing a width of 513 is that your shape isn't perfectly pixel-aligned. If you change the unit you're using in the settings panel under 'User Interface' to six decimal places then select your shape and ensure that the X and Y coordinates in the Transform panel show integer rather than decimal values and that your shape is exactly 512 x 512 you should find that the exported shape is also 512 but the Y value is a bit of a mystery so we would ideally need to see your Affinity file to figure out what you're seeing a value of 553... Anthitei Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) Yeah, I saw other replying why 512 changes to 513. It is a minor issue, I don't really care. But this 553... it makes a huge difference. And it is not the first time I have this issue. Edited October 12, 2023 by Anthitei Quote
NotMyFault Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Probably caused by rotated group. you have a transparent rectangle of correct size in group. Just nest the groups as child the rectangle, then you get correct export size.
