Affinity Publisher 2.2.0;   MacbookAir Sonoma 14.0

After upgrading to Sonoma,  when I open Publisher the background screen is odd - it’s grey, and the wrong size (screenshot 1); then if I open a document (screenshot 2) the doc is too big, so are the tools on the left which as you can see have gone off the top of the screen, so I can’t access the text or pointer tools.

I can use the hand tool to drag the doc into view, (screenshot 3) but still can’t access the tools. This has never happened before, but it all started when I plugged into an external monitor (new Samsung); and continues to happen on the laptop without the monitor. Can someone help please?

I have to produce the next issue of my magazine in a couple of days time, and at the moment it’s unusable.

Thanks - Linda

Hi Linda. Try Window > Studio > Reset Studio. If that doesn't solve it, quit the app and restart it while holding down Ctrl (press and hold Ctrl immediately after clicking the app icon). That will bring up a screen to clear user data.

Cheers,

Hi Mike

you’re a genius, thanks!

The Window > Studio > Reset Studio  didn’t work, but holding down control whilst restarting did.

Thank you so much!

Hi Nathan

thanks for the heads up on this issue.  Is it likely to get a fix in the future, do you think?

I’m not sure what this means: "i've bumped the existing issue with your report.” but it sounds good, thank you!

No problem, it's essentially a way in which we can update existing issues that are already logged with the developers to reflect that it is being frequently encountered by users, and yes the issue will hopefully be fixed in a later version but there isn't a timeframe I can provide.

The issue "[macOS] App Window Disappears after disconnecting and re-connecting an external monitor between app sessions" (REF: AF-417) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2211".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
