Hi artnok,

We're aware of this issue and it is with development. It is a combination of having a vector object selected in conjunction with the Paint Brush Tool - it keeps trying to show the colour of the object's fill, rather than the picked colour. It does set the picked colour, as that is used when you then use the Paint Brush Tool, however the dialog then quickly updates to show the selected object's shape again.

Any update ??? I still can't create illustration + bitmap effects... Very very annoying..'

Hi Artnok,

The issue is still open with development - unfortunately I am unable to give any time frame regarding a fix. I have however bumped it again with them. Please accept my apologies.

Thanks,

Hey. Thanks for these informations...
However, I just want to emphasize that this bug prevents me from working normally...
Dealing with vectors and bitmaps is a large part of the work of illustrators and graphic designers.
This is one of the main features that led me to Affinity... I hope you are aware that this specificity is crucial for your users. And I've been away from Designer for several months now... Please, please, do something about it.
