Hi there, I re-installed my windows 10 a few weeks back and I had installed but hadn't opened affinity since. Today I opened it and put in my serial number etc details and the first few times it was going to 'not responding' at the 'do not show this at startup page' but now it throws this error when I start it and when I press OK it closes. this is the same for Designer too.

I have tried deleting the %APPDATA% folder, which prompts me to accept the user agreement but then throws up the error after.

I then tried uninstalling, deleting the %APPDATA% folder and re-installing from a fresh download of the file (just now from the 'Downloads and Product keys' page).

I'm not sure what to try next because I am unsure what the error means since I have installed this from your product page.

Apologies if this has been posted before, I did try to look!

Warmest regards and I look forward to hearing from you as I sadly cannot now open any of the Affinity programs :(

That means that there is a problem with the indicated DLL file, namely "MSHTML.dll" which is the Microsoft HTML Viewer and is a dynamic link library file (it's an integral part of the Windows operating system). It is responsible for rendering and displaying HTML content in various applications, including web browsers, email clients, and other software (like the Affinity apps) that utilize HTML rendering.
