GeirSol
Please make it possible to select several styles at once for deletion. This takes time one by one. After importing content from a open-office-document I in fact had 54 instances of a style. Had to delete one by one.
MikeTO
Are the styles all in use? If they're unused you could choose Delete Unused Styles from the Text Styles panel menu. The problem with selecting multiple styles to delete is that selecting one immediately applies it to the text. The interface would need an edit mode to allow selection without application. Also when deleting a style, Publisher doesn't currently but really needs to ask you what to do with text formatted with that style - currently it just un-formats the text without warning but you should be able to choose from cancel, detach, and replace with another style. When that feature is added, deleting multiple styles in use would become complicated. So it can be done, it's just a bit more work. The manner in which QXP has handled this for eons is via a dialog box accessed from the Edit menu. If one selects multiple styles that are being used, the user is asked whether to replace them. Replaced with None results in keeping appearance via overrides. Else the p.styles/c.styles are replaced with the user chosen styles. But yeah, APub should have had a replace dialog from the start. Would have made such things so much easier for people from the start, whether dealing with placing a Word file or post placing. Yes, indeed.
