NeddieNail Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Hello all, I’m quite new to Affinity Design as I usually work with Procreate. Now I need to work with Affinity Design due to the bigger size that is required for this work. I’m trying to create a textured pattern with dots, like the one in the example I’ve attached (the pattern in the spotlights). I have no clue where to start! Can someone give me some advice? Thanks in advance!
v_kyr Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Welcome! The easiest and quickest is to reuse some already available vector dot patters, which you can color and adjust to your needs here. You would draw your shapes/objects and then clip the pattern to these so they will be filled with these. - See therefor ... https://pattern.monster/ vector pattern generator Other than that you can of course also create your own dot patterns in ADe, via creating & power duplicating & arranging a series of dots, which you then reuse for object fills and the like. ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
