michelle-PrintablesBuzz Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I'm using the new merge with an Excel Spread The data shows correctly in the table but the Preview and the created document have the wrong dates when using just the Excel (I know this has been reported-see the image below). To correspond with this issue, I have several customers with the data sheet reporting this issue. But I did a little more testing because I'm really trying to use the new hyperlink and anchor import for digital planners. The dataset is formula intensive, but everything should work, I have cross checked multiple time and even tried out several use cases on my end. It works IF I can get my second issue resolved. I am able to confirm that converting each spreadsheet to csv after it's been populated does import correctly for the dates. The second issue I have is that each spreadsheets contain anchors one for Monthly Planner Pages, Weekly Planner Pages and another for the Daily Pages. The anchors are importing, but the hyperlinks always default to the Daily Page Anchor (top anchor in the list). (see the video). And each hyperlink requires an edit to work, which defeats the purpose of the import. Side note/Request: The imported hyperlinks are all labeled Hyperlink 1-n... It would be really nice if there was a naming schema on those that made it easier for troubleshooting purposes. The Anchors use the name of the Anchor on the import which is wonderful! Hangman Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Hi @michelle-PrintablesBuzz, Are you able to share one of the Excel files and your Publisher document? It doesn't need to be the full document just the pages that tally with the Excel file. It would be far easier than trying to recreate the issue from scratch and will hopefully help to diagnose the problem or determine whether the issues highlighted are all bugs. As you mentioned, the issue with the Excel file and Publisher displaying the incorrect date has been raised before but I'd be keen to test a few things. Hi @Hangman, I will work on recreating a smaller version. Thanks for offering to look into it. It will be a couple of days... work is crazy and this is a side hustle product. Quote
Hangman Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Hi @michelle-PrintablesBuzz, That's no problem at all, I'll keep an eye out for your post whenever you have time to upload a smaller version and will then test and report back... michelle-PrintablesBuzz Posted October 8, 2023 Author Posted October 8, 2023 @Hangman Here is a sample showing what I'm trying to do. I included an Excel File with 3 tabs, each tab is a separate dataset. I add all 3 dataset's and link to different pages. Each tab has an anchor, and the hyperlinks to the other pages. Let me know if you need any further clarification. Thanks! ERROR TROUBLESHOOTING DATASET & TEMPLATE.zip Quote
