Brandon H
Hi. Affinity v 1 didn't have this problem. I'm really happy with v2 over all. V2 is showing one problem on both mac and ipad. Brushes that should be expressive and have variable widths tied to pressure all have uniform in width. This is with two different styluses including the apple pencil. Everything is normally expressive in Procreate. How do I fix this? Edited October 3, 2023 by Brandon H
Dan C
Hi Brandon, Have you enabled "force pressure" on your brushes context bar? Each brush also has it's own settings which can be edited to choose which parameters change via pressure levels. https://affinity.help/photo2ipad/English.lproj/contents.xml?page=pages/Painting/pixel_modify.html?title=Modifying brush settings Lee
Brandon H
I had not. I've tried both and neither is working. Also the edit windows is showing corecwt tapering but the actual brush strokes do not. Adjustments appear to do nothing. Brandon H
Also, why would brushes work naturally in v2.0 and now I'd have to monkey with the settings for each with v2.2?
walt.farrell
From your second screenshot, Force Pressure is not enabled in the Context Bar. Brandon H
I have enabled it previous to that a screen shot. It does nothing. Indeed because it doesn't change anything it's hard to tell if it is on or off. This is also true of the desktop imac version Edited October 5, 2023 by Brandon H walt.farrell
Brandon H
This issue is not resolved. Your advice has not reflected my actions. Please advise: the brushes are lifeless and I can't draw as I'm accustomed to. V2 has been a nightmare for me since January. Your tech support personnel were rude, accusatory, and unsympthetic-- but the problem persistend until V2.0.2. Which, hey, solved those problems. So... Yeah. Now I'm having brush problems... I bought this software in January and I haven't been able to finish a single image beucase it's just one obstacle-glitch after another so it simply impossible to execute my vision. I asked for are refund but you guys don't do that. Did you get bought between V1 and now? It's Dr. Jekell and Mr. Hyde with you guys between now and then. I'd give anything to go back to V1. Brandon H
I've just spent a lot of time with the brushes on the desktop version. They all make exactly the same marks. No variation. No tapering. And similarly dithered-- when some should be smooth. This is at 400dpi. This is consistent across native and third party brushes. I also tried adjusting the curves in the main screen settings-- really exaggeratedly-- and absolutely nothing changes. Same mark, every time. Brandon H
Honestly, I'm about to give up. I'm pricing Photoshop for desktop right now. You had a really happy customer with V1-- a real brand evangelist.
