Aaron61894
Can not drag crop points to crop photos. I have tried different files. Whenever I select the crop tool the matrix shows up that I would normally drag the corners of etc, however there is no ability to actually drag the matrix to the desired size. walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. A screenshot of the complete application window would help us understand, or a screen recording of the problem happening. Also, what OS are you using? Aaron61894
I have experienced this issue on both Ventura and Sonoma. I actually downgraded from Sonoma to Ventura hoping it would alleviate the problem, however that was not the case. It continues. I even attempted to go the Beta Chanel as I work in IT and understand the process of beta's etc. That also failed to help the problem. The strange thing is the cropping issue does not show up on my iPad, it also seems to not be an issue on my Intel Mac mini. I will have to check that, It is on Ventura. I have tried several different ways around this. Thanks, Aaron
walt.farrell
Thanks for the screenshots. With a mode of Original Ratio you should be able to drag any of the large nodes (corners, or middle of the edges), so I'm not sure what's going on. Are you using the trackpad or a mouse? Both work on my Macbook Air. Aaron61894
Using the trackpad. It's strange I never had this issue, been using Affinity for a while now and love the program, have used it on both my Mac, in a windows environment and on my iPad. Original ratio is what I have set, still can't seem to crop. It just won't do it.
Aaron61894
I still am unable to crop on my MacBook. I have tried several things including the beta. Nothing works. It brings up the crop matrix, but when I attempt to do anything with it I can. not crop at all. What would good next steps be?
loukash
I've noticed some issues with cropping – or sometimes generally canvas redraw or brushes seemingly not painting anything – on Ventura as well. What usually seems to fix it for me is zooming in and out. Aaron61894
This is starting to get really annoying. I am still unable to crop or rotate pictures. I've tried zooming in and out. this did not work. Updates have been applied and still not go. Where else if anywhere can I report this to the developers? Dan C
Hi Aaron61894, We're unable to recreate this here, are you able to try with a mouse connected? Lee

Hi @Aaron61894, Any chance you could upload a quick screen recording showing the complete UI demonstrating what happens (or rather doesn't) when you attempt to crop or rotate an image when using a trackpad... I've tried this using a trackpad and likewise have no issues so obviously there is something else going on here for you. I assume there is nothing odd in your Trackpad settings? Does using a mouse fixes the issue?
