Affinity Publisher v2.2.0 and Section Names not shown correctly in document after merge

Recommended Posts

I have created a document containing 15 sections. As shown in the picture. From Section 5 to 15, each one of those sections corresponds to a particular page where a Data Merge tool is defined (which are a category of product for each page), in each page, 4 images and the corresponding information will be imported. Each of these pages (5 to 15 in main docuemtne, with there own section), is linked to its own excel sheet where the information of the product and the path to the image for that page (section) is located.

This process works perfectly, everything is imported, images and information, according to the different sheets defined, which are categories (and sections defined in the main document). However, the names of the sections are not reflected correctly in the result document after the merge is done.

Only two sections are reflected. See images of the final document, section name and how the page looks like regarding the section name.

The question is: why? what am I doing wrong that prevents the section names to appear correctly? And a second question, can I define in the main document a table of contents or index so that it is generated automatically in the final document after the merge?

Images included. 1 to 3 are from the main document. 4 and 5 are from the document after the merge. There are section names completely gone.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you @walt.farrell

This bug is driving me nuts..... jejejejejejeje. Hope an update could fix this. The strange thing is the app crash sometimes, and sometime don't. Ant when works, the merge file just divide the total pages in two, with your the fist and the last section... Thanks for report it as a bug.
