Can I turn off tool rotation?

Recommended Posts

There is no way it’s 3 people. I would bet my life Illustrator users download the demo, get frustrated by some inconsistencies in the UI and tool behaviour, and run away screaming without uttering a peep to anyone.

It’s also been a year since I first posted this. So long in fact that when I tweeted Affinity, they actually reminded me I had made these requests before.

Why not use the modifier Alt +V

BUMP...

YES turn off tool rotation on shortcut key multi press, there's a reason why photoshop & illustrator doesn't do it.

I've lost count how many times I've been: "wtf, why is this doing this now... god damn it... tool is in some mode I don't want, switched to selection tool, and again, wtf, why is this now cutting out circles... aghh..."

I don't want to have to keep track of if I am already in a tool and press its shortcut again, instantly go to use it only to find out its in the wrong mode and now I got to correct the usage of the software, if your going to do stuff like that you need to make the icons much more prominent as to what mode your in, so one can see wtf is going on, esp on 4k screens. Or just give us the option to turn that off...
