vpkumar Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 I am trying to figure out some way of fading a patch. Like in Photoshop there is an option to fade a patch. Is there any way to fade the patch selected in Affinity Photo V2
Ron P. Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 You can find the Fade command under the Layer menu. Whatever you just used, be it the Patch tool or others will be appended to the Fade command. The key is, if you're wanting to use the Fade command, you need to do it immediately following, like in your case, using the Patch tool. https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/pages/LayerOperations/fade.html Affinity Photo 2.6..; Affinity Designer 2.6..; Affinity Publisher 2.6..; Affinity2 Beta versions. vpkumar Posted September 27, 2023 Author Posted September 27, 2023 Thank you for the information. The keyboard shortcut Shift+ctrl+F works, but I dont find it in layer dropdown menu. This short cut is not mentioned nywhere. Or have I missed somewhaere.
PaulEC Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Another option, if you know you will want to fade the patch, is to create a new layer above, then choose "Current layer and below" in the Context Toolbar. Then you can adjust the opacity of the patch layer. vpkumar 1 Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 – Windows 11 Home - Affinity Publisher, Photo & Designer, v2
vpkumar Posted September 27, 2023 Author Posted September 27, 2023 I think this is a better option. Thank you.
