Help restoring corrupted Designer files

I have been working in Affinity Designer since 2019 and all of the files I have backed up to my external drives as well as my machines HDD however recently had to move my HDD to a different computer. Affinity Designer and MacOs engaged flawlessly until on Affinity Designer I started getting this message on all of my saved working files; 

Failed to open file  

/Users/mac/Documents/*/D/DANDY QUOTE 142 UZ STICKERS.afdesign

The file appears to be corrupted. 

So in the end I can't open even a single file that I have previously worked on. Even from separate my back ups.

Please could you upload one or two of the files to the following DropBox link so I can look into this further with you? Please could you also tell me if you have tried reinstalling the app at all as it seems odd that this happens even with your back up files.

@Callum I did reinstall in the end but the problem still persists.

FWIW I was successfully able to open the attached file using Designer 2.2 on macOS, although it did prompt me that it was a 'legacy document'.

@BryanRieger Thank you very much. Unfortunately I can't upgrade my version of Affinity Designer to 2.2 since I'm using a very old Mac. So I guess I am stuck in this situation.

@BlackSkin Messiah hopefully @Callum can help sort this out for you. I don't have v1 installed, otherwise I'd offer to copy/paste from v2 to v1 and back-save to the older format. At least if they can be opened it should be possible to recover the files in some manner. Good luck!

Your file opens fine for me in V1 (and in V2), so all is not lost

I have resaved and uploaded the file you attached (in V1)

See if that opens for you

@Callum I think something may be wrong with my computer actually because the files you sent are doing the same as before. Let me see how I can address my MacOS High Sierra issues

@Callum @Old Bruce @carl123 @Bryan Rieger Guys thanks for the help, turns out all the while I had been using version 1.10.6 then on my move I downgraded to version 1.7.0.15 which for obvious reasons couldn't open files from a later version. I'm sorted and working now.
