I have a work file that got corrupted during Beta testing. I had a solution that worked previously by embedding the work file into a new one, but this method does not seem to work. I only get this message when placing it:

I would appreciate some assistance in trying to salvage whatever work I have from Serif. I'd rather not start the entire thing from scratch.

Hi @Frozen Death Knight,

Thanks for the file.

I also get the same error and i'll get that logged with the Developers.  You can workaround this by starting a New Document in Publisher and then clicking Document>Add Pages From File and selecting the afpub file you uploaded.  This process will convert the artboard to spreads, but you'd then be able to work with that file and be able to place it into another Publisher document without getting the original error.

Thanks for the help! I was able to salvage the most important parts of my work now. ^-^

I'm designing a video game display for 2D Game but, the file got corrupted. Can you see if you can help me recover mine too? The file got corrupted when I renamed the file. I tried putting the old name back on it but, it didn't help. I tried copying the file to another folder and no luck.

Did you try the Add Pages method that @stokerg mentioned? It worked on my end, so it may work for you too.
