Frozen Death Knight Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 I have a work file that got corrupted during Beta testing. I had a solution that worked previously by embedding the work file into a new one, but this method does not seem to work. I only get this message when placing it: I would appreciate some assistance in trying to salvage whatever work I have from Serif. I'd rather not start the entire thing from scratch.
Staff stokerg Posted September 25, 2023 Staff Posted September 25, 2023 Hi @Frozen Death Knight, Could you upload the Affinity file to our Dropbox here and I'll see if I can recover the file. Frozen Death Knight 1

Staff stokerg Posted September 26, 2023 Staff Posted September 26, 2023 Hi @Frozen Death Knight, Thanks for the file. I also get the same error and i'll get that logged with the Developers. You can workaround this by starting a New Document in Publisher and then clicking Document>Add Pages From File and selecting the afpub file you uploaded. This process will convert the artboard to spreads, but you'd then be able to work with that file and be able to place it into another Publisher document without getting the original error. dustin255 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 @stokerg I'm designing a video game display for 2D Game but, the file got corrupted. Can you see if you can help me recover mine too? The file got corrupted when I renamed the file. I tried putting the old name back on it but, it didn't help. I tried copying the file to another folder and no luck.

dustin255 Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Yes, It worked for me. @stokerg I hope the Affinity Team can fix this issue in future updates. It's one of my main issues with this application. Frozen Death Knight 1
