Nik Collection as a separate layer

Recommended Posts

Nik Collection works a treat with AP but it would be better and more convenient if it created it's own layer, as it does in Photoshop (sorry to mention that bit)

Yep, done this for years.

End even if you once forget:

  1. Edit → Undo (the plugin/filter)
  2. Edit → Copy the original layer(s)
  3. Edit → Redo (the plugin)
  4. Edit → Paste the previously copied layer(s) and disable them

Mac Ventura and AP2.2

Create a separate layer for Nik plugin. Use a preset but then adjust some of the preset lines. Apply to layer. Add more adjustment layers. Go back to Nik layer. Open the Nik plug in but not able to see any of the adjusted preset lines. In Photoshop I used to convert the separate layer to a smart object and then was able to go back to that layer and access the plug in adjustments. Is there any way to do this in AP2.2?
