MikeTO
These are all extremely minor issues, mostly cosmetic. The Profile popup menu has 3 commands that all open dialogs but only one of them has an ellipsis. Also this menu uses sentence case while the Manage Presets popup menu uses title case. I believe they should both be title case. The Export User Presets button in the preset manager and the corresponding popup menu command are the only places where profile presets are referred to as user presets. The matching Import Presets button and menu command don't include User. These two confirmations for the preset manager have opposite buttons. macOS alerts normally have the Cancel button on the left and a Delete button on the right. Certain single-line warnings are taller than others which leads to an odd alignment with the page number. Preflight uses the term Colour Space which is fine but other parts of Affinity (New Document, Document Setup( use the term Colour Format. When editing the profile settings, the issue types are listed in an order that seems random but is fixed - perhaps alpha would be better given how many issue types there are now? The window is scalable but I'm unsure why as there are no benefits, and it lets you scale it a bit narrower. If you close it when it's mid width a few labels can be cut off when you re-open it. Perhaps it would be better as a wider fixed-width window? The explanation for each issue type usually ends with a period but several don't have periods. It's not just the ones that are two sentences that have periods. If you pick an item with a text field that can be disabled, for example, Bleed Hazard, and select an option that disables the text field, you can still edit the value of the text field with the up and down arrow keys. Some of the labels are title case and others are sentence case. I tried this in the release build of 2.2 and I can't replicate the text getting cut off, see the attached screenshot. I can however replicate it in the last RC of the beta. Can you just check the release version and see if you can still replicate this? I've logged everything else you've raised in this post

Ellipsis are used if the action starts a modal journey of one or more dialogs in order to complete the action described. If the action described will be immediately completed (eg opening a window or changing the document) or is open ended (eg a non modal window that you can keep around) the option doesn't warrant an ellipsis. On that basis I don't think 'Edit profile' should have ellipsis although I suppose technically it should be called 'Open Profile Editor'. I'm also not convinced 'Manage Presets' needs ellipsis, even though it's modal it's not starting a journey to a definitive action c.f. Some languages need a wider window than others to fit all the labels in. Allowing it to be adjusted lets the user adjust it for the option and language they are looking at without having to make it excessively wide for everyone. stokerg
MikeTO
@stokerg I can get identical results in the release version and RC3. It might be a finicky issue - it was harder to replicate when I first noticed it and now it happens every time. Maybe it's one of those window issues where the starting width saved in user data matters. Today I'm able to scale it narrower than I was able to when I first reported it, and I'm getting identical results in both versions. Odd. Maybe just change the min size to match the app's default size? @Mark Daniel Is modality a requirement for an ellipsis? New... is non-modal on macOS, and the Mac and Win guidelines state only that an ellipsis should be added if the user needs to provide more information to complete the task. But based on that, I was wrong to state that Manage Presets should have one - the task is completed once the manager window opens. Sorry. Edit Profile really sounds like it should have an ellipsis. At first I thought renaming it would be odd but I didn't realize until now that I could switch profiles while the window was open and that each change was its own history action. I assumed it to be modal because of its name so you're right to think that perhaps it should be renamed. But that would be too bad, the current name is really obvious. This really isn't that important, maybe just leave well enough alone.
