GeirSol Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Hi! I experience a lot of project-freece after embedding a front-page from Designer. That app itself does not crash, but save the project is frozen. No save, no nothing. Close project and reopen sometimes fixes it. I'll usually prompted if I want to use a recovery-file. Quote
Staff stokerg Posted September 24, 2023 Staff Posted September 24, 2023 Hi @GeirSol, Could you attach some samples files so i can try to replicate this freeze? Which operating system are you running Affinity on? Quote

I can delete the afdesign file from the front cover and add it again without any freeze. Wonder if it could be related to where the afdesign file is stored on your PC, is it stored on the USB drive? I more suspect the RAM-handling is not working that well (an issue I've never had with another app) I'm close to max on RAM Quote

But on my Windows laptop with 32GB of RAM, there's no freeze and on my Mac with 16GB I also don't get a freeze. Quote

Do you have OpenCL performance acceleration already disabled and tried the software WARP renderer? Further it looks like you changed Peronas at some state before the main crash.
