Hello,

I tried to create a new document. Immediately afterwards, Affinity Photo froze.
Graphics card is the AMD Radeon RX 570 series (with onboard Chip the same: Intel UHD Graphics 630), operating system Windows 11. I cannot use Affinity Photo
at the moment. There are no problems up to this point with Affinity Publisher and Affinity Designer (but I usually only use Affinity Photo).
Other applications such as Capture One Pro or DXO Photolab 6 (rendering with denoising funktion DeepPrime) do not cause any problems.
Help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Kind Regards

Helmut

Hi @HHelmutand Welcome to the Forums,

Can you just try going into Settings for Affinity Photo and on the Performance section untick Hardware Acceleration, close Settings and you'll be asked to restart Affinity.  Once restarted, see if you can then use Affinity Photo without the freeze.

Hi stockerg,

the problem is currently solved.
Thanks for the tip, I hadn't tried that yet.
But I'm back to Windows 10 (downgrade). This fixed the problem.
Previously, due to a hard drive crash, I reinstalled the system and then updated to Windows 11 and the problem started.
Next year I'll buy a new computer, then we'll see.
kind regards
Helmut
