Missing pictures in data merge

I'm using Affinity Publisher V2.2 and wanted to use the data merge function to create a scrapbook for my genealogy records. The layout is linked with an Excel file (xlsx) where one field contains the filename. The filename includes the full path like D:\Dokumente\Ahnenforschung\Dokumentation\Bauer Johann Ulrich_Imm_10240\Picture of Johann Ulrich Bauer_10240.jpg.

However the preview works fine for all text fields but the images are not displayed and I have tried out several other different notations for the picture filen name but nothing is changing.

Hi,

thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately neither preview nor the newly created document after merge shows any pictures.

I have tried all different notations without quotes and with qoutes. With \ and / as separator. Nothing changed. I have also attached a zip-file with a full path for one image.

Thanks for your hint. I thought I have tested all different notations with a copy in the root directory exactly how you have proposed it. The file was generated by an other program which put obviously a blank in front of the filename. After correcting the programm the source files does work. Thanks for your support.
