Paul Bell Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I opened up a document in Affinity Photo 2.2. When I come to export, the Export Dialog appears, but then click "Export" and nothing happens - can't name the file or choose where it saves, and no file is exported. So I tried to restart the program, but I can't save my work. Clicking Save brings up no dialog, and if I quit Photo, it asks if I want to save, but when I click "Save" no dialog appears. I'm on MacOS 12.6.8. Seems like a pretty major issue... I just upgraded from v1 this week as I was finding that had become slow and buggy... hoping this can be resolved quickly. Quote
Hangman Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Hi @Paul Bell and welcome to the forums, I'm running Photo 2.2 on 12.6.8 as well and I'm not experiencing any issues saving or exporting files. It may be worth trying a factory reset of Photo by holding the Ctrl key while launching the app and then checking the following two items when you see the Clear User Data dialog to see whether it fixes the issue for you... Quote Affinity Designer 2.6.3 | Affinity Photo 2.6.3 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.3 MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse
Paul Bell Posted September 21, 2023 Author Posted September 21, 2023 Thanks. On quitting and re-opening, it worked fine. I think maybe the issue was the file I was editing. I took a screen grab, and rather than wait for it to appear on the Desktop and open from there, I dragged the preview icon directly into Affinity Photo, so perhaps it was trying to export to the same location as the original file, but was unable to find it? That's my theory anyway. If I have the same issue I'll try your remedy. Thanks. Hangman 1 Quote
