ThomasGo
I have a group of .jpg pictures that have been edited with Affinity Photo. When I look at this file in Windows Explorer, some of the pictures have a thumbnail that shows the picture content. Other thumbnails have a generic icon. The pictures that have the generic icon will not open with Affinity Photo, Photoshop, or photo viewers. When I look at the file properties of these pictures, it shows that they are .jpg pictures and about 1 mega-pixel. If I try right clicking on these pictures, and select, open with, I always get the error message, This file type is not supported even though the file type is .jpg. I just wondered if I have a software problem with Affinity Photo or a problem with my computer. The majority of the edited pictures don't have this problem. Old Bruce
Are you generating Thumbnails from within Affinity? Meaning do you have the "Save thumbnails with documents" turned on from the appropriate application(s) Preferences. General sections in the top list. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
R C-R
Where were the files stored? It is possible they have become corrupted so you may need to check for any problems in whatever storage medium you used for that.
