Panels are not working

Recommended Posts

I have Affinity Publisher 2, and it would initially crash right after opening. I did the CTRL after clicking on the icon and reset, and now it will open, and I can interact with the application. Now, I cannot switch between panels or click on the little menu option to customize the panels. For example, I cannot switch between the different color options. I want to change my colors to the color wheel, nor can I import my own swatch. I have removed Affinity Publisher 2 entirely and reinstalled it. Didn't help it. Please help!

What OS do you use? Are you using a mouse or a pen/stylus?

Can you prepare a screen recording that shows the problem, to help us understand it better?

Thanks. I will leave it to Mac users to comment on their experiences and make suggestions. I will note that Sonoma is still a beta product, though very close to official release, and I don't know if that is related to your problem or not.

Are you at least using the recently released Publisher 2.2, rather than the earlier 2.1.1 release?

I have Mac OS Sonoma 14.0, 2.8 Quad-Core Intel Core i7, with 16 GB RAM.

I am using a trackpad

A Mac user here. I really doubt it is your hardware, could be the beta OS 14.0 although I doubt it.

More questions.

Is the Mac a laptop or a Desktop? I assume the trackpad is an Apple device, is that correct? How is the trackpad set up to generate a mouse click? Do you run any third party utilities that intercept the keyboard, mouse, or trackpad for any purpose (things which add functionality to help you with keyboard shortcuts, or find things for instance)?

Here is how I have my Apple Trackpad settings:

Yours will look different because of the difference in our respective OSes.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
