Permission denied error when opening a template in Designer 2.2

Recommended Posts

When opening a template I get a permission denied error. This is a Designer template and I get the same error when trying to open it in Designer or Photo. I created a new template and got the same error. If I switch the extension from "aftemplate" to "afdesign", the file opens. I'm running macOS Ventura 13.5.2 and Affinity Designer 2.2.

Hi Rick,

Welcome to the forums :)

Sorry to hear you are having issues opening your template if possible could you provide a copy of the file so I can try and replicate this here at my end? If you open the file using the .afdesign workaround you found and then re-save it as a template does the same issue occur?

Thanks
C
