PixelPest
There must be some kind of tool because there´s no question about this in the forum: But how do I make a color selection in AD? (I know MacOSX has one aboard :D ) Cheers P.
Staff MEB Posted March 25, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2016 Hi PixelPest, The colour picker is located in the Colour Panel (and some other places when appropriate). You have to drag it over the canvas to pick a color. This will add the picked colour to the small colour well near the colour picker icon in the Colour panel. Then select another object and click on the small colour well to apply it. Another way to quickly access the colour picker in certain tools (brush tools mostly) is to press and hold ⌥ (option/alt) + ⌘ (cmd) and dragging the mouse on canvas. And the short cuts are very welcome too. :) Have a good one. Cheers P.

Is there a hotkey for applying picked color to selected shape? (instead of clicking on that small circle in color panel) Quote @darkwark
Staff MEB Posted March 26, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 26, 2016 Hi darkwark, Welcome to Affinity Forums. No, currently there's no shortcut for this. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
