Photo amateur
Dear community, I am using Affinity Photo for over 2 years. But one important component I miss is a picture browser. Especially for Affinity files. Third party apps don't show afph files. When does it come? I think you agree me. System : Windows

Photo amateur
Windows File Explorer can do this. It would be nice if a Serif tool can do that without any limitations. One option could be work at exif informations additional or a slideshow with this files. If I want to know what's in the afph I have to save for example as a JPG to know what's in it. I can't understand that serif relies on system file explorer. A Picture Explorer would bring Affinity tools to the next level. My opinion. Über Bearbeiten >Einstellungen... kann man Miniaturen mit Dokumenten speichern. aktivieren. If you have the other programs too, repeat those steps in each program and thubmnail previews will be available for those files too. Another thirdparty program other than what walt.farrell mentioned, which might be also useful to you and also shows thumbnails for afphoto afpub and afdesign files is Eagle. https://en.eagle.cool/ It has no ability to edit raw images, it just neatly organizes files and references for you.Edit; Eagle also allows replacing the preview image with custom thumbnails either via a file you made or from you clipboard (alt+ctrl+shift+T) Quote Sketchbook (with Affinity Suite usage) | timurariman.com | artstation store Windows 11 Pro - 23H2 | Ryzen 5800X3D | RTX 3090 - 24GB | 128GB | Main SSD with 1TB | SSD 4TB | PCIe SSD 256GB (configured as Scratch disk) |
Stephen Coyle
XnViewMP - doesn't show thumbnails for me - have ticked the "save thumbnails with document" in preferences... Currently having to use Adobe Bridge as my DAM, but must save a small jpg and stack it with afphoto file to know what I've got. I would pay for a afphoto DAM. Come on Serif, this has been a sore topic for your users for years...
Return
I use both xnviewmp and eagle. For xnviewmp you need to go to options>general and select show all graphic formats.
