Kepa Online Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 I often export large files as PNG and I've found that this takes a while so I often multi-task... I browse other photos I'm processing figuring out what photo I'd like to deal with next. Sometimes I forget about this bug and open the photo in Affinity (directly from Finder or Adobe Bridge) and then it hangs during the export. I'm assuming that some logic just needs to be put in place to handle this scenario better. It is a pain for me because I then have to kill Affinity Photo and restart it and start over and I'd rather avoid that.

Using V1 I just exported an oversize image to png and opened an .afphoto file (66.9MB 6000x4000px) while that was happening It took a couple of minutes to produce a 408MB png and open the new one. No crash, no problem Maybe it's a V2 mac issue Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10
Staff Callum Posted September 20, 2023 Staff Posted September 20, 2023 Hi Kepa, if you wait awhile does the app eventually respond? If you try this with two very small files does this issue still occur? Thanks C Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
