Hi all,

First off I had to assign Delete shortcut key in Designer which was odd.

Is the slice names in Export in Designer bothering anyone because the 'slices' don't match the artboard names when you change it in Designer Persona. I have had to keep renaming the slide names even when there was only one slice per artboard. [see attachment 3]

Also can we get an option where we select the slices we want to export in the Slice Panel [see attachment] and somewhere down we get a button that says 'Export Selected' because right now it's either EXPORT ALL or  EXPORT one by one, which is taxing.

Also is there a place where I can set the Default export as JPEG [see attachment 2], right now by default, it's set to PNG and I have to keep changing it to JPEG every time I work on a new file. Plus changing it to JPEG in Defaults panel does not affect the SLICES, you'll have to manually select the slices and go to Selection panel and change it to JPEG.

Has the automatic numbering of Artboard (every time we create a new artboard) been implemented in the new firmware? It will help a lot in stead of manually changing a number every time.

When you work on iPad version and open the file in Mac, the font tracking goes for a toss. I'm really scared to work on iPad nowadays because it always messes up the tracking. Why not simply follow the exact way to do it instead of creating a random method? Suddenly feels like two different team who never spoke to each other created the Font Panel in iPad.

Sorry for the rant but these small things has just been bothering me. I'm not even asking for Image Tracing. 🙊

Advance thanks for the next update and answers.

Thank you.

Hi, the Delete key shortcut was broke in 2.1.1, I tested it yesterday and clicking Serif Defaults (Reset on Windows) erased the Delete key shortcut. 2.2.0 fixes this, clicking Serif Defaults/Reset works properly now. But if you were missing the Delete shortcut in 2.1.1 before upgrading it's likely that you'll still be missing it.

It's easy to fix. Either click Serif Defaults/Reset which will change all your keyboard shortcuts, or change the shortcut for Edit > Delete to the Delete (backspace) key.

Good luck.

If you've already created your slices, changing the artboard names won't automatically update the slice names, you'd need to delete any existing slices and recreate them for the artboard name change to be reflected...

Just toggle the layer visibility on or off in the Slices panel for the slices you want to export then only the visible slices will be exported...

I'm not sure what you mean by this. My new Artboards are always numbered automatically, and always have been, unless I'm duplicating an existing Artboard.

I have not noticed that. However, it will be important to ensure that you have identical versions of the fonts instaled on the iPad and your other systems. If you did not install the fonts yourself, using the same font files, you may have different versions with different characteristit's. One way to test that may be to freshly install a font you don't already use, on both the iPad and your macOS system, using the same font file. Then see if it behaves differently from what you've been seeing.

I meant if the Artboard is called - Panel 1 when I duplicate, does it automatically renames it to Panel 2? But if you use 'Insert Artboard' from menu I automatically adds as Artboard 1/2/3 etc.

No, as I said.
