PixelPusher007 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 My document has a misding font and no matter what I try to do in the Font Manager It just ignores my replacement. I am not even able to choose a replacement font. I have the most current version. Quote
walt.farrell Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 It might help to have a screenshot that demonstrates the problem, or a screen recording. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "it just ignores my replacement", especially combined with "I am not even able to choose a replacement". Old Bruce Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 You will have to find all the text with the "Missing Font" and change it to a font you have on your computer. Even the white spaces will need to be replaced. This is a reason for using Paragraph and Character Styles, you can change the fonts in the definitions and they will be changed in the document. If you have not used text styles then it is a very long and painful process. As you are using Publisher then you can use the Find and Replace to find the missing fonts and replace them (but you should first check and change the text styles for use of missing fonts). Clicking on the Format will call up this dialog, which is quite similar to the Text Styles dialog. From what you've said, it might not be working at all. Or it's possible it just doesn't do what you needed. Or that you're doing something wrong. You said both that it ignores what you've chosen, and that it doesn't allow you to choose anything. I don't see how both of those statements could be true, so I asked for more information.
