413x
Hello, i am using affinity photo 2.11. I have created a 32 bit HDR from 3 nef files and it looks great. The problem is that when i zoom in the colours appear quite f***ed up. Also, the 32bit looks amazing. But only in Affinity Photo. If i expert it directly to jpg or png the the end result will be as bad as when i zoom in. If i try to convert it to 8bit it will look better than the direct export of the 32bit but a lot worst than on the original. The way it looks when i zoom in its a bug for certain. I am not sure about the conversions, i have never used 32bit before, it's an amazing feature. So any tips about how can i use this image? Right now AP is the only app that can display it correctly. Please let me know if you can replicate this bug, the file has 1.5gb and can't be uploaded here (max 1gb). But if you really need it i will send you via wetransfer. Thanks
Dan C
Hi Alex1xelA, What are your full export settings and which application are you using to preview the export outside of Affinity Photo? If you'd like I can take a look at your source file by uploading it here. https://www.dropbox.com/request/1DEbJf2CbzC87ImFMQlC Lee

How the image was suppose to look, how it looks when i zoom in and how it looks when i export it as PNG or JPEG with the default settings and i view it in file explore. I am using a iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (6th generation). Thanks again Edited September 15, 2023 by Alex1xelA Specified device

Dan C
It appears the layer causing the issue is the duplicate of the original layer at 44% opacity set to Colour Burn overlay mode. Disabling this appears to resolve the issue, but I'll pass on the file to the devs to have a look at why this happening. Lee
413x
Ah, hey @Lee_T , my bad presuming that the 32bit was the problem. I admit that it’s a very unconventional way to process the photos. I knew that i am not doing something right but i didn’t expected to break the apps 😁 Thanks, i will check it later.

In fairness, in 16bit this issue doesn't appear so the 32 bit nature of the image certainly has something to do with it. Lee 413x
