About the feature that converts an object to a work area ( In the French version it's : Convertir l'objet en plan de travail ). I wonder why the feature is not available to convert MANY OBJECTS at the same time in work areas while they are all selected ?  To help you see why I would find it useful : I need to zoom/reframe MANY small photos (from 100 to 500) and re-save them with their filenames ( I saw that I can rename the work area with the name of the file that appear in the layers list ). So I start in Affinity Publisher to use the « image frame » ( in french : cadre d'image ) to zoom/reframe them to make them all at the same dimensions/proportions. And then, I found that if I modify my document in Affinity Designer I have access - in the Export Persona - to save the « slices »  ( in french « tranches » ) as separate jpegs in a folder ( which is very usefull to save them all in one operation instead of do the saving operation hundreds of times).   And to do that this way, I need to Convert the objects in Work Areas ( that seem to become slices (tranches) automatically in the Export Persona... but as the feature is only available for one object at a time - and there is no keyborad shortcuts for that feature - it's kind of tedious to do the converting while having to go in the drop down menu each time when you have to do it for 500 objects.  Unless there's a better way to do this directly in Affinity Photo ( Batch operations ? )... There are so many possibilities that sometimes I get « lost »... Thanks in advance to anyone who could help me with that !!

We can use the Layers panel in the Export Persona to make Slices (Tranches) with the name of the Layer as the name of the slice. Then all (100 - 500) layers will get exported as PNGs or JPEGs or TIFFs or what ever.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks for your answer !  While waiting for answers, I continued testing and trying different possibilities, and I found the way to «bypass» the converting into work areas that I don't even need anymore.  I found how to transfer my image frames into Slices as you talk about - and it seems even better than what I was trying with the transfer to work areas - all the other operations are pretty fast and simple...  Thanks !

By the way, "work area" and "plan" are not term used in Affinity in English, so I am unsure what you might be referring to. A screenshot showing the menu you're referring to would be useful, as I could then find it. Or perhaps you could switch your Affinity UI into English briefly and give the English term? Or, find it in the Help, and give a link to that Help topic?

I think it's about Artboards (Slices are automatically created for them in Export persona).

Thanks Walt and Psenda !!

Yes the good word for « plan de travail » (in french) must be Artboards in english (instead of Work area) !  Thanks !!

Now that I've got all the answers to my questions, and I've also done my own experiments, I'll be able to get down to the real work  the right way!

Thanks to all of you!
