TG78 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 (edited) Hi All, I am creating a poster for digital distribution and the client has asked if there is a way to add clickable sections of the poster (hotspots). Example, three sponsors and their logo's are clickable to their respective web pages. I know this to be adding hotspots and I can achieve this via a PDF document. However when sharing PDF's, I've been contacted asking how they can open it because they didn't have a PDF viewer or the like. It would be amazing if this could be achieved by way of exported PNG/JPEG. I can't seem to see if/where this option is/exists in AD or AP, if anyone has experience with this I would LOVE to hear from you. Using versions 2.1.1 Thanks All! Hangman Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Hi @TG78, This isn't currently possible when exporting PNG/JPEG from AD/AP, though it can be done in Photoshop. If the digital distribution is via a web page then it could still be achieved using a PDF as most browsers should read the PDF file but you could potentially achieve this using HTML as well... TG78 Posted September 13, 2023 Author Posted September 13, 2023 Thank you for taking the time to reply to this. it will be distributed via email mostly. They also have a desire to post to social media.. however I've curbed their expectations that it may not be supported. I will explore photoshop as an option. Again, thank you Quote
Hangman Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 If via email, you could distribute the poster as part of an HTML email rather than simply an attachment which would then allow you to embed hyperlinks. For social media posts, you would be able to include HTML links as well or an alternative thought, if it is an option, would to be include a QR code as part of the artwork for each logo so people could scan it with their phone so it takes them to the respective website, though appreciate that may not be an option for you...
