Schelmenzunft
Hi there, got a scanned PDF consisting of A4 landscape pages with 2 A5 pages on each. Want to split it up into single A5 portrait pages. Any suggestions how to get this done? TIA, Franz-Josef
PaulEC
Have a look at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/briss/ It's a small, free, app. which "aims to offer a simple cross-platform application for cropping PDF files. A simple user interface lets you define exactly the crop-region by fitting a rectangle on the visually overlaid pages." PDF24 is another useful, free app. for editing PDFs, including splitting and combining pages in a PDF. Return
I added the confused reaction as to why you would direct someone to another program when it was asked in the affinity forums and it is very doable in publisher. I think you don't need the Picture Frames and can just move the placed PDF layers, either manually or via the Transform panel values for X. (In V2 you can select multiple objects on different pages. This might let you reposition more than one object at a time) Another approach would open the PDF in Affinity, • duplicate each of its pages in the Pages Panel and • adjust in the "Spread Setup…" the page dimensions (-> half width) for the entire document in two steps: • First with all odd pages selected with the anchor set to the left, • then with all even pages selected with the anchor set to the right. PaulEC
APub is not a dedicated PDF editor so, although splitting pages can be done directly in APub, it is (IMHO) easier and quicker (especially if you have multiple pages,) to use a free alternative! thomaso and Return 1 1 Quote Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 : Windows 10 Home Affinity Publisher 2 : Affinity Photo 2 : Affinity Designer 2 : (latest release versions) on desktop and iPad "Beware of false knowledge, it is more dangerous than ignorance."
