Staff Sean P Posted September 11, 2023 Staff Share Posted September 11, 2023 Hi Anto, This is By Design. When you drag an object over the text label it will place it inside that object as that frame's image, so what is happening is that object is being 'Scaled to maximum fit'. If you want to clip the object to that shape you have to drag it over the Layer's thumbnail - as your video shows around 30seconds mark. Is there any reason why this is working the way it is?@anto if you want to have it to remain its size, you should drag it to the layerstack itself. 2023-09-11 12-11-16.mp4
Staff Sean P Posted September 11, 2023 Staff Share Posted September 11, 2023 16 minutes ago, Return said: But should it be? Is there any reason why this is working the way it is? Yes, the scaling is set on the Frame object itself, so when an image in the frame is replaced, it uses the frame's scaling. For example I can set the Frame scaling to be 'None' and then any images dragged in via the Layers Panel will not rescale. In your video, you're not replacing the frame's image, so it will never rescale. Return

Yes, as @Sean P mentions... when you drag the shape as a clipping path to the picture frame, the shape is honouring the scaling properties you have set for the picture frame itself, i.e., Scale to Max Fit, Scale to Min Fit, Stretch to Fit and None. I do however have to question whether 'None' is exhibiting the correct behaviour, i.e., when the grey circle is dragged into the picture frame where the picture frame scaling is set to none, the picture in the frame is correctly not scaled however the grey circle it is. When you remove the picture from the frame and simply drag the grey circle as a clipping path to the picture frame it isn't scaled, which is the behaviour I think I'd expect when doing the same with the picture inside the picture frame. @Sean P, are you able to clarify?
