MikeTO Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 You need to change panes in Edit Text Style at least once for the Cancel button to work. If you edit a text style and change only options on the current pane then clicking Cancel will have no effect. I confirmed that this bug isn't present in 2.1.1. For example: Create a new doc, draw a text frame, type some text in Heading 1 Edit text style and change Based On from Base to Box and then click Cancel - it didn't cancel Or: Create a new doc, draw a text frame, type some text in Heading 1 Edit text style and switch to the Font pane and then click Cancel - this is just to get it on that pane for next time Edit text style and change the font to something else and then click Cancel - it didn't cancel But if you : Create a new doc, draw a text frame, type some text in Heading 1 Edit text style and change Based On from Base to Box Switch to the Font pane and change the font to something else and then click Cancel - it will cancel both changes Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
Hangman Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 This, in part, looks like a screen refresh issue in as much as in each scenario you've outlined, selecting one of the arrow keys or the space bar 'refreshes' the screen and then correctly shows the original Heading 1 style again. The text style itself isn't taking on the edits so cancelling the edits is working it's just not being reflected correctly on screen until a keyboard stroke is applied. But clearly still a bug... In a way, it feels not unlike the issue raised here where the Limit subfields Cross-Reference option isn't enabled until the preset dropdown is reselected... Or this issue where the Cross-Reference panel list doesn't refresh correctly when switching between Paragraph and Index Mark, again requiring the dropdown to be reselected before the list refreshes...
