Hi everyone,

I've been working on this Affinity Publisher document for about a week now, and everything has been working out great. When I tried to open the same file again this morning, it would always show that the file is damaged or corrupt. I have a backup, but only in form of a PDF where the text does not line up properly after import. I would hate to redo the whole file manually.

Is there anything anyone can do to repair the file? The document contains a lot of embedded images. Is one of them the problem? Is 112.5 MB too large for Publisher?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Great, it works! Many thanks, man!

What did you do? And how did you do it? Was the background image on page 21 corrupt?

Yes, I know I should backup more often. If only there was more space left on my backup drives. I need to buy more storage.

Best regards from Bochum to Neersen!

I created a new document and added pages from file (Dokument > Seiten aus Datei hinzufügen). Yes, page 21 was blank for me. Perhaps this was the corrupt spot.

Thanks, I did not know the "Import pages" trick. It seems the left master page image got lost - all left pages have no background images. I re-added it, and now everything looks fine again. And I did a proper backup now! ;-)

Besten Dank
