Frame Text Size

In my Pages section, my linked text frame has x's all around the frame instead of circles. I need to change the size of the frame. How do I get the circles to come back on the page?

Hi @Godsgirl,

Your text frame likely belongs to a master page, you can edit the dimensions of the text frame by selecting the Master page layer on that specific page and then select Edit: 'Detached' along the context toolbar, this will allow you to freely move the object and once done, press 'Finish' to commit your change.

Alternatively, this is more unlikely but the text frame could be locked in the layers panel which prevents transformations, simply press the padlock icon again to reverse this.

... or select the appropriate Master Page in the Pages panel (double click) and edit it as needed.
Keep in mind that compared to the previous method, the modification is applied to all pages that use this master page (which corresponds to the meaning of Master pages).

No worries, also just worth noting what Pšenda mentioned above about editing the master page as I had missed the most common one out!
