Quad warp messing up the text it's applied to

Recommended Posts

I have a quad warp applied to some text in affinity designer and at different zoom levels it cuts different parts of the text out.

its fine at 77% zoom:

but it starts messing with the text when you zoom closer than 88%:

it cuts different parts out at different zoom levels. 135% zoom:

Also, when i've exported it as either PNG or JPG it cuts out the text as well, regardless of how zoomed in you were:

I've tried closing and reopening affinity, restarting my computer and tried working on new files just in case the problem was my original file somehow, but it still cuts out the text.

If anyone has any solutions please let me know. thanks.

Which Affinity Designer version and under which platform (OS)? - Also did you looked at ADe's hardware acceleration prefs settings and tried out if things maybe behave differently without enabled OpenCL on Win (or Metal if under macOS)?

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

@v_kyr im using designer 2.1.1 on a microsoft surface pro 7 running window 10, and i already have hardware acceleration turned off

Could be either some redrawing/rendering bug, maybe GPU related ... etc. - However, you can try out if the latest Beta version (2.2.0.1986 ) behaves different and hopefully better here.
