zip_azzah
Hi I am wondering if there is a way to keep (lock) my brush coloring inside the lines of an outline I have drawn? Thanks
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. What application and release are you using? Is the outline a closed vector curve, or something else? Will you be painting with a raster brush? zip_azzah
It's affinity designer 2.1.1.1847, I am drawing in vector.. the black outline I have drawn with a brush tool and I'm trying to be able to color the inside of the outline with a big brush without having the color cover the black outline or bleed outside of the black line... I would also like to know how to color a border outside of the black outline with a brush without having it color over the black outline or compromise the colors inside of the lines... Thanks

Any raster painting will be limited to the inside (fill area) of the vector design. For the outside outline, possibly the Appearance panel would help. Or possibly a pixel layer placed below the vector layer (not nested in it), that you could then paint on with a raster brush. zip_azzah
Thankyou .. I will give these ideas a try.. its my first day using this program so I have alot to learn. If I ad these pixel layers will it effect the overall scalability of my final vector?
