Good evening,
I have been trying to recreate this look in Affinity but with no success. It was originally created using Canva. I would greatly appreciate any assistance 🥰

Which Affinity app? - There are several different ways to do such FlipText effects, though it's overall easier to do with ADe v2 and vector based distortions of the text here.

I've once did things like that the tedious (boring) manual way in APh v1 ...

For instance: text gradient / frame gradient / stretch vertical / perspective tool / flip vertical

Of what, Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, or Affinity Publisher?

Generally look after some Flip Text Effect tutorials for PS or Illustrator etc. there are a bunch of such on Youtube, you can apply the same things they do show there with the Adobe products, then instead with the Affinity apps.

I’ve tried to follow the videos but no luck 😔 Could I see what effects you used on your Effects Group please 🥰

Can you explain with what step you struggle?

  1. creating a text with mesh warp (wide top, narrow bottom)
  2. flipping / mirroring from top to bottom
  3. creating text in different angles
  4. creating the color gradient

You can inspect the layer FX by just clicking on them, they just have a color gradient.

I use iPad screenshots and videos even in the Desktop section of the forum when I expect no relevant difference.

Open the APh and ADe example files I've provided above and inspect their effect group contents (the grouped layers) in the layers panel. That should give you an idea here how texts are sized, positional arranged and colored etc.

FWIW, you can create this appearance entirely without any "effect" (in terms of "FX"). My sample above is done in V1 (without the new warp tool in AD 2) but uses the APh perspective tool and thus results in rasterized layers.

thank you again for being so helpful

Text positioning do look good so far for the flip effect. - And in order to visually pronounce the whole flip effect flow slightly better, color adapt some of the texts in slightly different blue/magenta color tonings (as for example from top to bottom as dark to lighter color shades etc.). - Further on dark backgrounds lighter colored text do look contrast wise always better than too dark text.
