Hello! I have two questions, maybe it's better to have a different topic since the questions are different.

So, I want to import the style of a text document (bold, italic, font etc) in AP.

The problem is that, if I just copy and paste, the style will change without maintaining the previous one.

So I managed to do that by converting the doc in pdf and then import it in AP.

the problem is that the document I'm creating has a different size of the doc document. so I have to change all the spacing in order to adapt that to the new document...

So, long story short, ho can I just import the style in a less tedious way? :D

thanks

If you want to copy Text Styles from an existing .afpub document, use the Panel Settings icon ("burger" menu) for the Text Styles panel, and choose the Import Styles option. Then select the document you want to import them from.

it's a Word document and google Doc.

if I just copy and paste, the style goes away. If I import the pdf in AP, the style remains. But...

The problem is that I have an A4 format (the word document) and the document on AP will be larger and shorter. So If I copy the pdf text imported from the word document , then I have to edit the spacing in order to fit the new format. Because the text breaks first.

I dont' know If it makes sense and I explained clearly.

Let's put in this way. Is there a way to make fit properly the text inside a text box without edit that manually? ( I mean a text copied from a document with different sizes. If I copy a random text, it fits normally without problems) If I just use "allign left, right etc" it doesnt cover the full available width

thanks

It you use the Paste Special option and then select the Enhanced Widows Metafile option then the copied text will be placed in Publisher with the original tests style applied.
