Affinity designer not working

Imac user.

affinity designer isn't loading.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling.

restarting comp.

firewall settings.

clear bin, cookies, browser caches.

 

still not loading. 

any update on this would be much appreciated. thank you.

Hi, looking at your post history, it looks like you had a similar issue in mid-July which you solved after reinstalling Affinity from the Mac App Store.

Did anything change since then? Which version of macOS are you using?

Yes that worked mid July, this time publisher and photo worked by reinstalling but not designer still not loading.

it doesn't show any warning, just loading symbol.

no, nothings changed, only thing I did differently was, design on my iPad and airdropped it to iMac and opened it, worked on it for a bit and designer crashed and hasn't worked since.

im using macOS Ventura 13.5.1

Is there a way of contacting the team at Affinity?

 

affinity designer doesn't even load.

I have reinstalled many times. all my projects on hold.

@Ms. Kaur Have you reset the app to default settings (This is different to reinstalling)?

If not, hold down the CTRL key and open the app, when the options appear, release the key. Now click to option at the top to select all and then click Clear All (Note: this will clear any custom brushes, assets etc from the app)

Can you also confirm that all your Affinity apps are V 2.1.1?

If you continue to have an issue when opening the app, have you tried having Activity Monitor open to see what shows for Designer?

Holding control and clear all - worked and app is now opening and running fine.

Hi Lee

I can now open Affinity Designer, but when I try to change the font or scroll down the list, the app starts lagging and stops almost like it's going to crash again, it does this for about 20/30 secs.

 

Any suggestions?
