Selecting and keeping attributes

Hi, I am running a trial and cant readily figure out these 2 items In Designer v2:

Issue 1

1. Reselect a vector brush stroke already made

2. Then select Brush tool

3. My brush tool does not hold the attributes of what I just selected

Issue 2

1. Change vector Brush to another style

2. The point size of that new brush goes from 3 pt to 30pt?

Thanks!!!

Hi knvb.

Currently the "recent brushes" feature only applies to raster brushes, which allows you to select any previously used/modified brush from a layer and begin painting with it.

At present, the only way to do this is to save your altered vector brushes. (size adjustments are saved with the brush).

Thank you Lee! Can you send me a link on how to save those brushes and also save a custom swatch set so I can pick from over and over while designing in the same file, the swatches seem to never go past 2 rows in vector mode or you lose some being replaced by newer ones? ....Thanks

Hi thanks, i dont see any way to copy a native Affinity beush and paste into my new category

Did you right-click the brush (in the Brushes panel) and select "copy to category" as advised previously?

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

My personal preference is to create a new category for the project, right click the brush I want a few variations of and copy to category, then edit the brush sizes as I require.

As this question is in the iPad part of the forums, copying the brush and putting in a new category is actually:

  1. Swipe left on the Brush in the Brushes panel, and choose Duplicate.
  2. Swipe left on the duplicate, and choose Move to.

Apologies, lost track, thanks for the correction!
