I have no way of knowing if this is a bug or not. Following the instructions in the Affinity Publisher 2 help menu for placing and showing column guides, I was able to show three columns in one spread on 2 pages. Help said to use View menu, show columns, then Guides set 3 columns, a color or an outline, etc.) The first spread showed column guides. When I scrolled down to the next spread, for some reason I could not get the same result with the same steps on that next spread. I don't know why.

Is there a way to universally set columns throughout a document or does one need to set them manually one spread at a time? In any case, I cannot understand why I was successful in placing column guides, sometimes with two columns, sometimes with three columns, and sometimes not at all. Although the attached document has columns on some pages, I did attempt to set them on pages in between those that now show visible column guides. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Bob, try applying the column guides to a master page instead of to a document page. Then apply the master page to the document pages. That should solve it for you.

Cheers
