Mr. Doodlezz
Hey all, turns out I've managed to import a wrong color profile via the Publisher app on my iPad and want to remove it. I'm having a bit of a hard time trying to figure out how and/or where to find it. Does anyone know how to handle or delete user-imported colour profiles? Any pointers would be appreciated! Cheers! Staff NathanC Posted August 23, 2023 Staff Share Posted August 23, 2023 Hi @Mr. Doodlezz, I've just been experimenting with this in the Beta app, the only solid way i've found to delete previously imported custom ICC profiles is to remove and re-download the app which then clears the profile, not really ideal. I had initially thought that it may be possible to remove this via a Clear user data full reset (AKA CTRL Run-up) or by deleting the original location that the ICC profile was stored, but unfortunately neither worked. The profile is downloaded into the app files and there doesn't appear to be any way to manage/edit custom profiles on a surface level. I'll log this an improvement so that ICC profiles can be better managed/deleted within the app, similar to the Install Fonts interface. Mr. Doodlezz
Hey @NathanC! Thanks for confirming. And yes, completely deleting the app does feel a bit … extreme. It’d be great if there was an option to reset the color profiles (like with other aspects). Ideally, managing them should be as simple as how we can select and delete custom installed fonts. Moreover, wouldn’t it be fantastic if these profiles were (optionally) linked throughout the whole suite/across all apps, making the process even smoother instead or managing them for each of the apps individually? The application sandboxing enforced by iPadOS makes that very difficult, I believe.
