Having an issue with purchased software suite

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

we puchased;

as a site licence and it has been packaged by the team. The software installs properly and works. But the issue is relating to the persona and when you try to move between apps in the suite it said that they are not installed. But you can access the apps manually as they are installed.

I have tried opening each app individually as suggested in other threads but it still shows as uninstalled under personas.

Any help would be appreciated.

we are using .EXE and all apps are the same version.

So all are 2.0.4 or all are 2.1.1?

Can you show the error message you get when trying to use StudioLink?

Thanks.

One suggestion for additional trouble-shooting:

  1. Start Task Manager.
  2. Start each application.
  3. In Task Manager, click the arrow next to each Affinity application to expand the entry.
  4. Then, for each, right-click on the middle entry (the one with the application name) and choose Open File Location.
  5. Provide a screenshot of the top of the File Explorer window that opens, so we can see where each application is installed.

Could you please load each app holding the ctrl key down, and tick the following options:

Once you hit reset, just close the app as soon as it takes you to the login registration screen.

After you have done this to all three apps, restart the PC and try to register one of the apps, then launch the second app etc.

If you open Photo and Designer before opening Publisher, with them all open, does Publisher allow you to use Studio Link?

If not, it's possible the network administrator has disabled the apps access to the folder required to tell it that the other software is installed.

I tried what you suggested and it has done nothing.  I don't think it's a permission issue as I have full privaliges on this site.

But I did try installing 2.1 manually and registering it and it works. But unfortuntely I now have both versions installed. The app doesn't appear to be updating automatically.
