Kai Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 hi there, working with photo2 is sooo slow. like rubber. switching back to other apps (cmd-tab) is almost impossibly slow. i expected a lightning fast app compared to ps. but it is the other way around 🤔i just started working with photo2. publisher seems to be more responsive. what are your experiences? thanks, kai Quote

Kai Posted August 21, 2023 Author Posted August 21, 2023 thanks RC-R i tested again: the moment photo2 is open (no big pictures loaded - none actually) the cmd-tab does not work anymore - or is sooo slow that i can't use it anymore. no matter if photo2 is in the foreground or background. also sending it into the background (alt + click somewhere on the desktop) works with a 5 or more seconds delay publisher2 and designer2 work normally. fast app-switching and hiding. Then obviously, there is something happening with AP V2 that needs sorting out, but I have no idea what it might be. 🙁 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
Staff NathanC Posted August 22, 2023 Staff Posted August 22, 2023 Hi @Kai, Are you perhaps using stage manager on your Mac? Since we don't currently support stage manager there are a few known issues that can occur when it is enabled, one of which is switching between/to affinity apps can be quite slow. Quote
